Video Producer and Editor

Role Summary
The Video Producer and Editor will play an integral part in live client project, new business, marketing, and internal archival. This person supports and manages all agency video projects, both client-facing and internal.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Produce and edit smaller scope video projects for both live client projects and new business.
  • Develop overarching creative video strategy for select projects, which may include concept narrative, storyboarding and scriptwriting.
  • Collaborate with the project’s Creative Strategist, Copywriter and Graphic Designer where applicable to define conceptual direction, script, graphics and any animations.
  • Source all necessary assets for applicable videos (e.g. stock and client photography, footage, music, etc.) and establish preferred resources.
  • Identify and manage any external video partners through pre-event, onsite and post-event.
  • Manage and produce off-site video shoots along with associated teams.
  • Consult on video vendor quoting, internal hours estimates and video production timeline.
  • Create and manage Departmental best practices to include: creating pool of preferred video vendors for different client work capabilities; continuing to seek new vendor partners and build relationships, developing and managing inventory of assets and final video storage system (content management), collaborating on video brief development.
  • Manage project case study videos, award submissions, culture reel, promo reel, and social media videos.
  • Lead shooting and editing for internal needs.
  • Manage archive of historical video footage and implement best practices of organization / file storage.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.   

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant experience.
  • Should have a video reel that highlights versatility.
  • Experience with creative concept development, video strategy/storyboarding, copywriting and scripting.
  • Project management and vendor management including timelines, budgeting, client communication.
  • Experience in video capture and editing, Adobe Premiere.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop is a plus. 
  • Expertise with video equipment needed for specific shooting needs.
  • Knowledge of best practices in video file storage and organization.
