Summary

Senior Account Manager has proven successes in client management, retention and growth and has mastered the foundational responsibilities of client services overall. Senior Account Manager is honing their strategic skills and is building credibility with clients as an expert and trusted advisor. Senior Account Manager is a strong leader and demonstrates proficiency in inspiring, advocating for and developing junior team members in order to help them contribute to the overall success of the agency.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strengthen, grow and enhance partnerships with key clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ culture, processes, business, and structure. Share learnings and insights with agency team members to ensure consistency of service.
  • Author the development of core client documents including but not limited to Scope of Works, project plans and addendums, strategic POV’s, and communications plans.
  • Leverage knowledge and experience in the strategic planning and creative development of brand experiences. Challenge the status quo, inspire curiosity and push the agency’s work in new directions.
  • Lead project teams to deliver successful, results-driven programs.
  • Evaluate the strategic development of the creative product and ensure that the work meets client objectives, brand positioning and guidelines.
  • Review and collaborate on all production related deliverables including but not limited to production schedules, run of show documents, and logistics plans; work with Production lead to determine the best way to communicate deliverables to clients.
  • Meet or exceed revenue projections by project always driving for maximum profitability.
  • Present fresh thinking to clients including but not limited to thought leadership pieces, competitive analyses and sponsorship strategies.
  • Foster exceptional performance among agency team members.
  • Manage project team members to maximize efficiencies and minimize redundancies.
  • Initiate discussions with clients about annual projects and/or potential.
  • Lead the strategic development of proposals that address the objectives and assignment as outlined by clients; proposals to include creative concepts and/or initial budgets.
  • Supervise, train and mentor Account Coordinators and Account Executives on an on-going basis to ensure growth and performance excellence. Provide constructive feedback informally and author performance evaluations as directed.
  • Preserve and foster EA’s culture and maintain a positive and forward-thinking attitude.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; Marketing, Communications, Business or related field a plus.
  • Agency experience is a must.
  • 8+ years Account Management preferred.
  • Event, conference and experiential marketing experience is a must.
  • Hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Must be proficient in presentation development as well.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker, able to help guide ideas to align with clients’ strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and team management skills.
  • Must enjoy working and collaborating with teams.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.
